London bound this morning! First of my now regular bi-weekly meetings down in the big smoke with a client for work. This is exciting for me, not only because I get out of the office for a bit but because I feel like a valuable part of the team. Huzzah!
I wanted to make sure I stayed full today as food will be limited until after the meeting this afternoon. I also wanted it to be as healthy as possible after my food catastrophe from the weekend. This can be a tricky task when you’re eating while you’re out and about! The first part of my breakfast was a PhD Protein Peanut Butter Flapjack. Okay so it actually didn’t look to eat like a flapjack at all. The name was a lie and this is just a regular protein bar. However, it was peanut butter and it tasted fantastic. Was just a shame I was only able to eat 1/2 of it before jumping on the tram. As I can’t eat on the tram I stood drooling for 35 minutes until I could finish munching it.
The other part of my breakfast this morning was a grande skinny sugar free vanilla latte extra hot and a fruit pot. I ordered this on the Starbucks app, I felt like royalty when I walked in to them calling my name. I also got evils from everyone else waiting for their drinks. Oh geez, I’ve become one of them haven’t I? Ordering a lengthy worded drink via an app to collect points. Welcome to the dark side right? At least this would keep the belly grumbles at bay for awhile and the coffee would keep me from biting people’s heads off.
I also picked up a box of lemsips, vapour tissues and a energy protein bar should I start to get hangry and tired later. This bar combined with the protein flapjack should keep me in good spirits until after the meeting when I can grab more food.
